It is a
specialized conference held under the auspice of His Excellency /
Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Rangelands , Dr. Faisal Hassan Ibrahim in
Libda Hall , Corinthia Hotel in Khartoum with main aim of improving animal
productivity through tackling animal health (10%), nutrition (30%) and genetic improvement
(60%). This is in the period from March 29th to 30th 2014.
Objectives:
The conference will be held under the
following objectives:

To shed lights on the importance of genetic improvement
for better production.

To single out and determine the problems and obstacles
facing genetic improvement initiatives.

To lay out policies supporting genetic improvement
with clear cut profiles and engagement of community as whole.

To invite the scientists, researchers and experts
operating in the field of genetic improvement from countries in the regions and
other outstanding ones in the field of animal breeding and genetic improvement
to reflect their experience.

To incorporate the regional experiences in genetic
improvement effect on food security.
